Huse og træer fra et landskab i Norditalien gengives i maleri og træsnit. På Sydhavn Station vises det i tre forskellige typer rum, som hver har en særlig karaktér.
I s-togstationens forhal udstilles sorte træplader med udskårne træer i plakatholderne.
Houses and trees from a landscape in Northern Italy are represented in painting and woodcut.
At Sydhavn Station they are exhibited in three different kinds of rooms, each with a special character.
Black sheets of plywood with carved trees are exhibited in the poster holders in the hall of the s-train station.
I udstillingsrummet hænger tynde papirvægge med træsnit som et kulisse-agtigt landskab.
Thin paper walls with woodcuts are hanging in the exhibition space like a backdrop landscape
I et lille rum hænger malerier af huse. Rummet har mørkgrønne vægge og minder om før modernismen og før de hvide udstillingsrum.
Paintings of houses are exhibited in a small room. The room has dark green walls and recalls before modernism and before the white exhibition spaces.
Træsnit er aftryk lavet fra udskårne træplader. Anne Skole Overgaard har skåret silhuetter af en række træer i 15 plader, som hun har lavet aftryk fra på tyndt papir. Træpladerne udstilles i plakatholderne på stationen.

Woodcut is print made from carved wood. Anne Skole Overgaard has cut the silhouettes of a row of trees in 15 sheets of plywood. From these she made prints on thin paper. The sheets of plywood are exhibited in the poster holders at the station.

Man går langs en række træer, som om der var et landskab i s-togstationens rum. Der er vinstokke og frugttræer. Det er et kulturlandskab, hvor jorden dyrkes.
You walk along a row of trees, as if a landscape was inside the s-train station. There are grapevines and fruit trees. It is a cultural landscape, where the earth is cultivated.
Træpladerne hænger overfor stationens sædvanlige reklameplakater, men de skiller sig ud fordi det er et andet materiale. Træsnit er også en anderledes og gammel teknologi til tryk af billeder.
The sheets of plywood are hanging so they face the usual advertisement posters in the station, but they stand out because of the different material. Woodcut is also a different and old technology for print of pictures.
Aftrykkene er lavet på lange baner af tyndt papir. I udstillingsrummet danner de et rumligt landskab af træer på sarte papirvægge der hænger ned fra loftet.
The prints are made on long rolls of thin paper. In the exhibition space they create a spatial landscape of trees on fine paper walls hanging from the ceiling.
Man kan gå rundt imellem træerne, som om man kan gå ind i landskabet, men det virker som en kulisse eller en uvirkelig verden af skrøbeligt papir.
You can walk between the trees, as if you could walk into the landscape, but it seems like a backdrop or an unreal world of fragile paper.

Træpladernes årer og ”fejl” træder frem i trykkene. De minder om sære, uhåndgribelige landskaber, men samtidig også om billig krydsfinér, som billedet faktisk er et aftryk af. Værkerne pendler på den måde imellem at skabe illusioner af andre rum og så at være dét de faktisk er, træplade, aftryk, papir, på det konkrete sted.
The grain and the “errors” of the wood stand out in the prints. They remind of strange, intangible landscapes, but also of cheap plywood, which the picture is actually a print of. In this way the works both create illusions of other places and they are what they actually are, sheets of wood, print, paper, in the actual place.

Det lille rum er intenst af farve, som en stærk kontrast til træsnittene. Malerierne er realistiske, med skarpe detaljer. Fokus er dog på de flade ting i billedet som husenes flade mure, der virker som et lille maleri i maleriet. En grå gavl er skallet af, pudset op og skjoldet af fugt. Den er omhyggeligt gengivet i et maleri som en komposition i grå, grønlige og brune nuancer. Det er stillestående billeder som har en både tom og fortættet atmosfære, som skyggen fra en ledning der falder på en mur.

The small room is intense with colour, as a strong contrast to the woodcuts. The paintings are realistic with sharp details. However the focus is on the flat elements in the pictures, like the flat walls of the houses, which seem like a small painting in the painting. A grey gable is weathered, repared with plaster and stained by humidity. It is meticulously reproduced in a painting as a composition of grey, greenish and brown shades. They are static pictures which have a both empty and dense atmosphere, like the shadow of a cable falling on a wall.
